WE WERE TRADED. NOW WE TRADE.
A group of minority investors determined to bridge the wealth gap by trading in a market where their ancestors were first traded. The Atlantic slave trade stripped our ancestors of their names, country, culture and families. Wall Street became New York's official slave trading market in 1711 for the sale and rental of enslaved Africans and Native Americans. Two streets over from the current site of the New York Stock Exchange, men, women and children were brought and sold. Slaves helped build the wall from which Wall Street was named.
